Residency & Legal Stay in Alicante
Costa Blanca, Valencian Community
Alicante province processes an unusually high volume of foreigner files, and that cuts both ways. Counter staff and local gestorías handle non-Spanish paperwork every day, so a well-prepared file rarely surprises anyone. The flip side is competition for cita previa slots at the Oficina de Extranjería de Alicante, which serves Torrevieja, Benidorm and Elche as well as the city itself.
Because the office is a provincial one, where you live inside the province does not change which counter you attend — but it does change your travel. We build the document set first, then take the appointment, so the slot is not burned on a file that turns out to be incomplete.

Questions about this service
I live in Torrevieja or Benidorm — do I still go to Alicante for my TIE?
Yes. Biometrics and card collection are handled by the provincial Oficina de Extranjería in Alicante for the whole province. Your empadronamiento stays with your own town hall, but the foreigner file itself is provincial.
Will paperwork in Valencian be a problem?
Not in practice. Valencian is co-official here and some regional notices arrive in it, but you can always request the Spanish version, and state-level immigration forms are in Spanish. Where a Valencian document has to go into your file, a sworn translation resolves it.
